I have been an owner at DBR for over three years and have known her as a pretty bride AND an ugly duckling!
And I know she can be a beautiful bride again! That's why I'm passionate about making DBR a better place and running to be on the new board in 2024.

I have had my own real estate business for almost 50 years and have a degree in real estate and business from the University of Wisconsin and have managed many different aspects of projects from construction through long-term management. I was treasurer for another condo association for over 10 years and worked to straighten out a very mismanaged project.

I have made every effort to make DBR better since starting to own here almost 3 years ago, but only recently have been given more freedom to do work on the maintenance committee for the property.... projects too numerous to list here, but really starting to polish our gem!

I have had the pleasure of working with Kim, our new property manager. She is a gift from God to us, and I look forward to seeing the maintenance committee and other committees grow to be real working groups. There are so many serious issues as we all know that it will take a very significant effort by as many as possible to overcome.

I have begun to look at our financial report from Tomoka's website in the portal and see significant problems on the report. After reporting that to current board members I was turned down from meeting to discuss further and correct significant errors and omissions on the report. Although the report was upgraded somewhat after my first request, the budget needs to be in alignment with the financial report. It is far from that. This is urgent to correct to see how our money is being budgeted and spent! This also reminds me of how important communication with owners is. This needs significant improvement and I would work to assure a detailed monthly newsletter to give updates on all the major aspects of our building.

I was part of the owner coalition group over last summer that tried to bridge communication with the owner and found that very difficult because of his conditions that had no follow through. Another opportunity has recently come up for another attempt to communicate with him and I'm glad to continue to try to come to any kind of agreement that would be favorable to us both.

Finally with God's help all things are possible, and we do need His help! As a believer in Him, ! will be asking Him for wisdom and guidance in all we do and I look forward to how marvelously He will answer my (our) prayer! Thanks for your vote for me in 2024.
