Daytona Beach Resort Treasurer Communications
This page, launched on August 5, 2024, is to offer free and unmonitored
access to email and other correspondence between our Treasurer Dick Burke
and other officials.
The Tomoka website has our By-Laws downloadable, but the link is JavaScript
and not a pure link to the file itself. That arrangement allows monitoring
of who downloads them, so that those who do can be flagged as troublemakers
and later harassed. To bypass that problem, a copy has been placed on this
site that is a direct link (use your mouse pointer to hover over it and see
for yourself) that has no JavaScript and does not allow anyone to keep track
of who is viewing it.

The financial statements that the Treasurer needs access to are available
with good password safeguards to the Treasurer and not to us ordinary owners,
but in image form only so that the numbers that they contain cannot be
processed and analyzed without major character-recognition efforts
or a horrendous amount of typing and proofreading. This policy of Tomoka,
providing financial statements in image form only, is preventable and
arguably malicious.
